Why a Birth Doula?

Having a Doula on your team means walking into your birth with confidence and peace of mind. It means the continuous support of someone you trust, who understands birth deeply and who can be your guide as you navigate its physical, emotional, and mental terrain.

While your medical care team is there intermittently for the physical health and safely of you and your baby, a Doula's support is continuous and holistic in its nature. A Doula is dedicated to the preparation, physical comfort and emotional wellbeing of you and your family unit. A Doula's role is non-medical but rather, fills in the gaps of care so that you may experience a more present and desirable birth, whatever that means for you.
